Summer's Best Kept Secret
Fun, friendly, and surprisingly competitive โ lawn bowling is a community sport for all ages, right here in Aylmer. Whether you're looking for friendly competition, fresh air, or simply a great reason to get outside on a summer evening, lawn bowling delivers. One of the world's oldest sports, it has been bringing Aylmer residents together since 1901. The rules take minutes to learn, teams are drawn fresh each night, and all you need to bring are flat-soled shoes. Everything else is provided.
The Aylmer club has been a cornerstone of the community since 1901. Expect warm welcomes, potluck lunches, and friendships that last well beyond the season.
Easy to learn, endlessly deep. Reading the green, choosing your weight, placing a draw shot or a drive โ every end is a new puzzle to solve.
Low-impact, social, and played outdoors in the fresh Aylmer air. From teenagers to retirees, we all compete on the same green โ skill beats strength every time.
All you need are flat-soled shoes โ we supply the bowls. Attend up to 3 jitneys before committing to membership. Each jitney evening is $5 cash (this goes toward that night's prize pool). Full season membership is just $60 for new members.
